Changes at "Democratic Society (Demsoc)"

The Democratic Society (Demsoc) is an independent, non-partisan non-profit dedicated to achieving more and better democracy. We connect people and institutions by designing and running participatory and deliberative processes, supporting governments and cities to build the culture and skills for meaningful public engagement, and sharing resources to spread good practice.

+With particular expertise in climate democracy and city transitions, Demsoc operates across Europe from its base in Brussels, with offices and projects in multiple countries. As a membership organisation, we focus on building democratic infrastructure, fostering the relationships and structures that allow citizens to shape the decisions affecting their lives, from the street level to national and European governance.
